This striking hexagonal rose cut amethyst was cut from rough material sourced from the La Manche Mine in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The original crystal was discovered by local prospector Josh March as a damaged amethyst point and was polished here in Canada to reveal its hidden beauty.
Weighing 8.35 carats and measuring approximately 14.65 x 6.00 mm, this rose cut amethyst showcases a rich purple body color with soft pink to magenta shimmery undertones that shift subtly depending on lighting conditions. The back is polished and would be subable to use an open back settings to allow more light to pass through the stone.
