Beautiful red to fuchsia-purple corundum specimen (sapphire) from the Hopedale region of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The piece displays striking colour zoning with vibrant tones that transition from deep red to rich purple. One side has been sawn flat, allowing the specimen to sit securely. Under ultraviolet light the corundum fluoresces a vibrant fuchsia-red colour.
