This freeform marquise-navette-shaped labradorite cabochon measures approximately 37.65 × 19.10 × 6.65 mm and weighs 35.50 CT. The stone exhibits strong electric orange, yellow, teal and blue labradorecent flashes, along with a soft, colourful needle to glitter aventurescence that sweeps across the stone in a cat's-eye-like, manner. The overall colour of this stone is a flashy, glittery blue-grey colour.
Ethically sourced and cut in Canada, the Labradorite used to make this cabochon comes from the Nain region of northern Labrador, the original discovery area for this iconic feldspar. This cabochon is a beautiful example of true Labrador labradorite, perfect for jewellery or a collector seeking material from the stone’s namesake region. The stone was ethically collected by local Labrador prospector Edmund Saunders and his family.
