This double-sided fossilized ammonite shell fragment comes from the Bearpaw Formation in Alberta, Canada, and is approximately 71 to 74 million years old. Prepared in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, it displays vivid iridescent purples, blues, and greens on one side, with golden yellows, fiery oranges, and patches of coppery red replacing suture traces on the other (shown with the head or Queen Elizabeth side of the coin).

The mosaic-like shell pattern offers plenty of detail to explore, while the irregular outline and exposed edges frame the colourful shell. A naturally broken, flat bottom allows the specimen to stand for display, making it a striking addition to a fossil collection.

Weight: 115 grams
Dimensions: approximately 60 × 50 × 20 mm

This specimen ships in a box for protection, with a label to help keep it identified and organized in your collection.
