This warm banded honey-coloured carnelian agate cabochon was cut in my Saskatoon lapidary studio, from material collected along the beaches of Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, Canada, by local beachcomber Colt Cunningham.
Expertly shaped to highlight a section of chalcedony-like material with delicate banding. The stone features rich, vibrant glowing caramel-honey-orange and subtle white or cream colours, which shift depending on light conditions. The banding is less visible from some viewing angles than others.
