This freeform marquise-shaped labradorite cabochon measures approximately 43.00 × 10.50 x 5.95 mm and weighs 18.50 CT. The stone exhibits subtle electric blue labradorecent flashes, along with a soft colourful needle to glitter aventurescence that sweeps across the stone in a cat's-eye-like, manner. The overall colour of this stone is a dark, glittery blue-grey colour.
Ethically sourced and cut in Canada, the Labradorite comes from the Nain region of northern Labrador, the original discovery area for this iconic feldspar. This cabochon is a beautiful example of true Labrador labradorite, perfect for jewellery or a collector seeking material from the stone’s namesake region. The stone was ethically collected by local Labrador prospector Edmund Saunders and his family.
