This oval ocean picture stone cabochon was cut from a historical 1980s collection sourced by Northern Beard Rock and Gem. Originally collected in the Midway region of British Columbia, the stone was cut and polished in my Saskatoon lapidary studio. It features a high-quality polish on both the front and back to accommodate versatile jewelry settings.
Ocean picture stone is treasured for its painterly, layered patterning, and this piece delivers a perfect example, featuring vivid colour variations reminiscent of seafoam and deep blue ocean water over warm brown, orange and cream accents that look like a rocky shoreline.
