This raw corundum specimen features a striking icy blue parti sapphire crystal with distinct color zoning, showcasing shades of icy blue, soft pink, and deep dark blue depending on the lighting conditions, which I tried to show in the attached photos. Collected from a high-alpine occurrence in the Revelstoke region of British Columbia by the late prospector Herb Hyder, this unique piece highlights exceptional Canadian gem geochemistry.

The rough crystal displays a well-defined and flashy flat face and a naturally flat back. Under ultraviolet light, it glows a vivid soft pink, reflecting its chromium-bearing composition. These sapphire crystals have been lightly tumbled to remove loose material and could be set raw into jewelry with a careful hand.

Weight: 2.60 CT
